BASE (Blind Activities Support Events) is a Scottish Registered Charity which was established in 2005 by blind and partially sighted people. Our aim is to empower sight impaired people to engage in activities, address social isolation and enhance wellbeing.

We have a management committee consisting of nine Trustees and one co-opted member, the majority of whom are themselves sight impaired.  The Committee meets every 6 to 8 weeks.

BASE depends for its work entirely on fundraising support from donations and funding applications to various charitable trusts.
